D’Youville Park

Because we believe fresh air and exercise is key to healing and rehabilitation, we have created a safe, inviting space on our campus to encourage outdoor activity. Funded by donations to the D’Youville Foundation, the D’Youville Park opened in 2009.

Designed by noted landscape architects Brown Sardina, a firm with expertise in developing outdoor areas for healthcare institutions, the Park is situated on the front grounds of the D’Youville campus and features a quarter-mile walking path, a beautiful fountain, teak benches and chairs, beautiful plantings, and an impressive cedar pergola that provides partial shade to protect residents from the direct sun.

The Park enhances the programs already in place at D’Youville, and it expands our offerings to many senior groups that partner with us. We encourage our residents to take advantage of the benefits the Park offers, whether enjoying a stroll on the smooth hindrance-free pathways, listening to music during the Summer Concerts or getting in shape with friends and family by walking our grounds and the wheelchair accessible path that starts and ends at our wisteria shaded Pergola. Here, residents, guests, and the many seniors from Greater Lowell are welcome to appreciate the outdoors in a safe, accessible space.
