Community Outings

Thanks to the tremendous generosity of our donors, D’Youville seniors are now able to take advantage of the many amenities the Greater Lowell area has to offer. The D’Youville Bus, our 14-passenger wheelchair-accessible vehicle, enables our seniors to enjoy many events in the outside community.

D’Youville seniors can visit the Pheasant Lane Mall, take in a local sporting event, or enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant with a greater convenience than ever before. This re-entry into or continued interaction with their community fosters a sense of belonging and relevance, while further extending their independence.

The Community Outings also affords the opportunity for other seniors in the Greater Lowell community to visit D’Youville for our various educational events, open houses, and seminars.

Celebrate National Grandparents Day with a scenic 3-mile walk along the banks of the Merrimack River before heading back to D’Youville for an exciting afternoon of food, entertainment, and carnival fun for all ages.
