Center for Advanced Therapy

There are times – especially after stroke, severe cardiac events, or orthopedic procedures – when intensive short-term rehabilitation is critical to ensuring a successful recovery. D’Youville’s Center for Advanced Therapy caters to the needs of adults who require this service.

Our interdisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and physical and occupational therapists work in conjunction with dietitians, social workers, and speech and language pathologists. Together, they strive to help each client regain their fullest measure of independence. By developing specialized therapy plans for each client, we ensure a highly successful recovery in the shortest possible time. Our ultimate goal is for our clients to experience a smooth transition from our therapy programs to their home environments.

The Center boasts the latest in exercise equipment, and rehabilitation activities are designed to be fun as well as rigorous. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped, featuring private bathrooms and showers for maximum comfort; and each room has wireless Internet access and televisions, so those recuperating may stay connected during their stay while enjoying the comforts of home. Additionally, our clients benefit from a responsive, highly-trained staff who are prepared to anticipate and meet their needs promptly.

In early 2012, we will complete construction of a new auxiliary building to better accommodate our short-term rehabilitation clients. The 25,000 square-foot Center will have these state-of-the-art amenities:
