We are sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa, popularly known as the Grey Nuns of the Cross, which were established by Élisabeth Bruyère in 1845. Since 1880, the Sisters have served the Greater Lowell community, making a difference in thousands of lives by providing a high standard of excellence in nursing care and education. Staying true to their mandate to see to the needs of the elderly, the Sisters have remained our sponsor since D’Youville’s inception.

Sister Préscille Malo, s.c.o., represents the sponsorship of the Sisters on the board of directors for the D’Youville Life & Wellness Community as well as on the boards of Bruyere Gardens, D’Youville Senior Care, and the D’Youville Foundation. She also serves as principal of the Ste. Jeanne d’Arc school in Lowell and was the former Provincial Superior of the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa.


 

Sister Pauline Leblanc, s.c.o., Provincial Superior, leads the Sisters in the Greater Lowell area. She has been an integral member of the Province Leadership Team since 2004, and a dedicated educator in both Lowell and Canada.
